SUMMARY:
The Investment Officer is responsible for overseeing investment risks and ensuring that the investment portfolio is in line with the financial objectives of the organization. This role requires a thorough understanding of various investment vehicles and market dynamics. As part of the advisory team, the Investment Officer plays a crucial role in generating new business, enhancing existing relationships, and promoting organic growth to boost assets under management and fee income. This position also contributes significantly to our proprietary financial planning process, enriching discussions surrounding investment management. Continuous monitoring of client portfolios and market developments is essential to provide timely and pertinent advice. The Investment Officer supports Advisors in maintaining adherence to established service standards and delivers exceptional client service by addressing inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally. Flexibility and adaptability are key to achieving the collective goals and values of the team.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field; an MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in the investment or banking sector, with a preference for investment management experience.
  • General knowledge of financial markets, investment products, and tax strategies.
  • Proven ability to cultivate relationships and manage client portfolios.
  • Strong analytical skills with the capability to simplify complex financial concepts into actionable recommendations.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, fostering trust and rapport with clients.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality, client-focused service.
  • Strong decision-making and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with portfolio management software (e.g., Value Line, Morningstar).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Formulate and execute a comprehensive investment strategy aligned with organizational policies.
  • Analyze and provide insights on investment strategies for individual portfolios, taking into account clients' risk tolerance, time horizon, cash flow needs, and tax implications.
  • Oversee the management of all investment portfolios, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Evaluate and select investment opportunities across various asset classes.
  • Monitor portfolio performance and conduct regular reviews and rebalancing as needed.
  • Identify and manage investment risks, ensuring compliance with the organization's risk management framework.
