Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform regular inspections and maintenance on heating, electrical, and air conditioning systems, while recommending enhancements to management.
  • Recognize and report complex maintenance issues to management.
  • Assist in overseeing facilities projects, including budgeting, vendor selection, and management.
  • Identify and propose necessary improvements for the building.
  • Maintain the exterior of the property, including snow removal and landscape upkeep.
  • Carry out minor carpentry, mechanical, and plumbing repairs.
  • Conduct monthly evaluations of building safety systems.
  • Plan, procure, and manage tools and equipment necessary for facility maintenance and repairs.
  • Assemble, repair, and relocate furniture and fixtures, and assist in the planning of building layouts.
  • Keep accurate records and reports.
  • Inspect facilities and grounds to ensure safety and security.
  • Identify and report hazardous conditions and maintenance requirements.
  • Act as a liaison with all facility service providers, including electrical, HVAC, and plumbing contractors.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in facilities maintenance.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills with various departments and stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office for at least 3 years.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Note: Sponsorship is not available for this position; U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications in HVAC or electrical systems.
  • Experience with CMMS software.
  • Intermediate skills in project management.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in various weather conditions, both indoors and outdoors.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

  • Successful completion of a drug screening.
  • Passing a background check.
  • Completion of a Human Performance Evaluation (HPE).
