Accountant Job Description

Truity Partners is seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for processing recurring payments, coordinating and paying 65-day and liability distributions, and ensuring accurate account data and compliance with guidelines.

Responsibilities:
  • Process recurring payments and work with the Trust Cash Processing Accountant to secure cash needed for payments.
  • Assist with the coordination and payment of 65-day and liability distributions, including communication and organization of information with other Trust Accountants, Attorneys, or Tax Preparers.
  • Complete additional training on topics essential to the job.
  • Ensure trust asset entries reconcile to daily trust system entries processed.
  • Ensure accurate account data and compliance with guidelines.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor or Associate degree in business, accounting, or finance, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in trust operations.
  • Knowledge of fiduciary terms and concepts, corporate actions, securities processing, tax lot reporting, and capital gain/loss tax implications.
  • Experience with trust accounting software.
  • Ability to collaborate efficiently with a team and work independently.
