Vascular Surgery Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant Opportunity

Johns Hopkins Hospital is seeking a skilled and experienced Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Vascular Surgery team.

The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive care to patients in the ambulatory setting under the supervision of attending physicians, assist with new patient intake, conduct assessments, and develop treatment plans.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing high-quality patient care in the ambulatory setting
  • Assisting with new patient intake, conducting assessments, and developing treatment plans
  • Managing in-basket tasks, patient calls, and paperwork to ensure efficient clinic operations
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Participating in patient education and counseling
  • Providing assistance as needed in acute care unit, weekend coverage, and ambulatory cardiac surgery coverage

Qualifications include:

  • Graduation from an accredited Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
  • Current licensure as a Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Maryland
  • Certification by the appropriate certifying body (e.g., ANCC, AANP, NCCPA)
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in vascular surgery or a related specialty preferred
  • Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to changing priorities
