Cigna's Evernorth Workplace Care is seeking a Primary Healthcare Specialist to provide primary care services to our employees in Plano, TX.

About the Role:

This is a full-time position that requires working independently in an internal medicine or family practice setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills and have experience managing chronic conditions.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality primary care treatment, including chronic condition management and referrals.
  • Offer episodic care and extended episodic acute care, as well as chronic condition education and co-management.
  • Oversee CLIA waived tests, order medications, and oversee dispensing by the RN where allowed by state law.
  • Recommend and order immunizations based on USPSTF preventive services guidelines and ACIP.
  • Deliver health coaching and refer patients into wellness programs and follow-up on all referrals.

Requirements:
  • Graduate of Certified NP program.
  • Active, unrestrictive NP license in Texas.
  • Minimum of 3 or more years of NP experience in an internal medicine, family practice setting or onsite health center.
  • DEA licensure and prescriptive authority.
  • Electronic Health Record experience.
  • BLS certification.
