R.J. Corman Railroad Group, LLC is seeking a skilled Mechanical Team Member to join our team in Lexington, KY. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and inspections on our locomotives, as well as repairing and maintaining rail cars and other equipment as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on locomotives to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on rail cars and other equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and air systems.
  • Assist in the maintenance and repair of assigned company locomotives and equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on assigned company locomotives and equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
  • Assist in the repair of freight cars as needed.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work area, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in mechanical maintenance or a related field.
  • Knowledge of power and hydraulic tools, as well as welding and oxygen/acetylene torching experience.
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 30lbs, and push/pull with 100lbs of force.
