Job Title: Semiconductor Packaging and Characterization Instructor

Job Summary:

Virginia Tech is seeking a qualified instructor to teach a Semiconductor Packaging and Characterization certificate program as part of the VAST Fast Track to Semiconductor Careers initiative. The program will consist of synchronous and asynchronous online lectures, daily office hours, and approximately 50 hours of hands-on training. The instructor will teach participants to use relevant design and simulation tools, and packaging and characterization equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver online lectures and hands-on lab training sessions
  • Teach participants to use relevant design and simulation tools and packaging and characterization equipment
  • Set up and oversee hands-on lab training sessions and ensure proper and safe usage of equipment
  • Assess the performance of trainees and students

Requirements:

  • Master's degree or higher in a relevant field
  • Experience in semiconductor packaging industry
  • Academic or industry experience in instruction and training in semiconductor or related fields
  • Laboratory experience in a research or industry environment
