Apogee Research is seeking a skilled Embedded Software Developer to join our team in Arlington, VA. As a member of our research and engineering team, you will work on a variety of applied research projects in support of new technology development and innovation.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in low-level programming and experience working with real hardware. You will be responsible for implementing C and C++ code to instantiate capabilities on real hardware, across various architectures and operating systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement C and C++ code to instantiate capabilities on real hardware, across various architectures and operating systems
  • Support lab and field testing of systems to characterize the performance of the developed techniques
  • Research new techniques for characterizing or repurposing operationally relevant software

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or similar plus 5 years of relevant experience working with real hardware with a focus on low-level programming
  • High proficiency in a language such as C or C++
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong demonstrable coding skills
