We are seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to work with students aged 3 to 21 with neurodevelopmental delays in relating, communicating, and thinking. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a crucial role in the success of our students, developing treatment plans and goals to improve functional abilities and enhance their ability to learn. Our program is an expansion of the Rebecca School in NYC, with 18 successful years of serving students with neurodevelopmental delays. Responsibilities: Deliver speech therapy services to students with special needs Administer pediatric speech assessments to determine a student's level of function in areas such as language acquisition, articulation, and oral motor and feeding Prepare written assessment and reports identifying the student's needs and proposed treatment strategies, goals, and objectives; maintain progress records Provide students with individual treatment and group therapy sessions to correct specific areas of content and pragmatic issues Educate team members on the facilitation of implemented techniques or modalities Monitor therapy and educational staff trained to incorporate appropriate speech therapy treatment strategies into instruction; evaluate the effectiveness of the established program and make modifications within the speech and language framework of the DIR model Maintain professional competence by attending staff development programs and continuing education programs Participate in weekly Greenspan meetings, team meetings, and staff trainings Case presentation to the entire staff twice per year demonstrating how language goals are incorporated into the DIR model Qualifications: Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology (SLP) License to practice SLP in NYS TSHH/TSSLD Certification Knowledge of DIRFloortime is preferred, but not required Effective verbal and written communication skills Ability to establish and maintain professional working relationships with students, staff, and parents Benefits: Eligible Rebecca School Employees will receive competitive pay and benefits, including Medical, Dental, Vision, and Health Savings Account (HSA) Company-paid Short-Term Disability and Life Insurance Voluntary Life Insurance, Long-Term Disability, Hospital, and Accident Coverage Generous paid time off and paid holidays Tuition reimbursement 401K with 100% vested company contribution Healthcare, dependent care, and commuter Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Wellness Incentive Program Employee Discount Program Rewards program which allows you to earn points to purchase items
