Job DescriptionWe are seeking a multidisciplinary engineer to support our ongoing efforts in the design, production, testing, and delivery of the Propulsion Plant Team Trainer (PPTT) Simulator Engineering (PSE) unit. The successful candidate will plan and conduct independent work efforts throughout the project lifecycle, interface with stakeholders to ensure project objectives are being met, and perform design reviews and technical interchanges with Suppliers.
Responsibilities- Plan and conduct independent work efforts throughout the project lifecycle
- Interface with stakeholders to ensure project objectives are being met
- Perform design reviews and technical interchanges with Suppliers
- Review and disposition Supplier design submittals to validate designs based on technical requirements
- Support on-site hardware inspections and testing of production equipment at Supplier facilities
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 4 years of relevant experience
- Master's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 2 years of relevant experience
- Currently or previously NPE qualified
- CTE/ACRS and 1 year EOOW qualified in the Nuclear Operations Program
- Watch Instructor and Refueling Facility Area Refueling Engineer and 1 year as SRE
- Experience in the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Training Program
- Experience with SolidWorks or equivalent 3D modeling software
- Experience evaluating, and creating, designs against approved technical requirements
- Experience working with external Suppliers
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to think creatively and to proactively make recommendations to management
- Comfortable working independently or in a group setting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
