Job Summary
We are seeking a highly qualified individual to fill a Full-time non-tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Lecturer A or Senior Lecturer A in Aerospace Engineering. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching basic and advanced aerospace engineering related courses, serving as the faculty advisor for students interested in aerospace engineering, and creating a strong community for these students to thrive in.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach basic and advanced aerospace engineering related courses
- Serve as the faculty advisor for students interested in aerospace engineering
- Create a strong community for students to thrive in
- Engage in curriculum development
- Contribute to research proposals to strengthen educational components and industry collaboration
- Reach out to industry to coordinate experiential activities and internships
- Promote diversity and inclusiveness
Requirements
- Ph.D. degree or a M.S. degree with multiple years of industrial experience in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a closely related field
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience in industry, government, or teaching in aerospace engineering
- To be qualified at the Senior Lecturer rank, candidates must have six years of full-time experience
