Role of the Pre-K Lead Teacher:

As a Pre-K Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for planning, guiding, and engaging in age-appropriate activities that support the intellectual, physical, emotional, and social growth of our students. Your role will involve preparing children for their transition to kindergarten by introducing them to structured learning environments. Additionally, you will assist with daily care routines, including feeding, changing, and nap supervision. Maintaining open and effective communication with parents and team members through our Classroom Management system is essential. Lead Teachers will also oversee classroom dynamics and mentor junior staff members while supporting the Assistant Director and Director in managing classroom and facility operations.

Qualifications:

  • PreK Certification
  • Demonstrated experience as a Preschool Teacher
  • Minimum age of 18 with a GED or High School Diploma
  • Strong understanding of child development principles and educational practices
  • Knowledge of safety and sanitation standards for educational settings
  • Excellent communication and teaching abilities
  • Ability to mediate and support children in social interactions
  • Dependable, friendly, and patient demeanor
  • Certification in child CPR
  • Ability to pass a background screening
  • Experience in a licensed childcare environment
  • Familiarity with childcare licensing regulations and developmental standards
  • Capability to design lesson plans
  • Strong communication skills with children, staff, and parents
  • Effective classroom organization and behavior management skills
