Role of the Pre-K Lead Teacher:

Key Responsibilities:

As a Pre-K Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for planning, leading, and engaging in developmentally appropriate activities that support the intellectual, physical, emotional, and social growth of children. You will prepare children for their transition to kindergarten by introducing them to structured learning environments from an early age using our established curriculum. Additionally, you will assist with daily care routines, including feeding, changing, and nap supervision. Effective communication with parents and collaboration with fellow team members will be essential, utilizing our Classroom Management system. You will oversee classroom dynamics and guide junior staff in their daily responsibilities. You will also support the Assistant Director and Director in managing classroom and facility operations as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Pre-K Certification
  • Demonstrated experience as a Preschool Teacher
  • Minimum age of 18 with a GED or High School Diploma
  • Strong understanding of child development principles and educational strategies
  • Knowledge of safety and sanitation standards for educational settings
  • Exceptional communication and teaching skills
  • Able to mediate effectively among children
  • Patient, friendly, and dependable demeanor
  • Certification in child CPR
  • Ability to pass a background screening
  • Experience in a licensed childcare facility
  • Familiarity with childcare licensing regulations and state developmental standards
  • Capability to design lesson plans
  • Strong communication skills with children, staff, and parents
  • Proficient in classroom organization, behavior management, and multitasking
