Polysomnographic Technologist Trainee

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Polysomnographer Trainee to join our team at Dayton Children's. As a Polysomnographer Trainee, you will play a critical role in developing competency in and performing basic sleep testing procedures and associated interventions within the scope of practice.
Key Responsibilities- Obtain intake data, instrument the patient for testing, observe and document the patient's sleep behavior, operate and troubleshoot the sleep diagnostic equipment, and provide therapeutic intervention with supervision.
- Assist with polysomnographic scoring and generation of accurate reports.
- Complete educational modules to advance toward RPSGT credentials.
- GED/High School diploma required.
- One year of post-secondary education preferred.
- Completion of AASM A-Step program and educational modules within 6 months required.
- RPSGT Credential within 18 months of completion of ASTEP program required.
This is a night position, working 630pm-7am, Sunday through Friday.
