Lead Financial Reporting Specialist

The Director of Financial Reporting will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all financial reporting activities. This position requires a deep understanding of accounting principles, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across the organization.
This role oversees technical accounting matters, ensures compliance with evolving standards, and provides expertise on complex accounting issues. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Preparation and review of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and healthcare industry standards
- Consolidation of financial results from various business units within Spring Health
- Research, interpretation, and implementation of new accounting standards and regulations
- Technical accounting guidance for complex transactions, mergers, and acquisitions
- Development and implementation of financial reporting and technical accounting policies, procedures, and best practices
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification required
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience, with at least 3-5 years in financial reporting and technical accounting at a public company
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements specific to healthcare
- Extensive experience with technical accounting, researching and applying accounting standards for complex transactions
- Working knowledge of Google Office Suite (Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, etc.)
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with a high level of attention to detail
The estimated annual salary range for this position is $153,750 - $205,000, plus a competitive total rewards package including stock options and benefits. We offer a range of benefits, including:
