Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Selmet Inc. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our products and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contract Review and Management: Perform thorough reviews of contracts to ensure compliance with company standards and customer requirements.
  • Certificate of Conformance: Complete certificates of conformance for jobs as required by customers and ensure timely delivery.
  • Temperature Uniformity Surveys: Conduct temperature uniformity surveys on furnaces according to documented schedules.
  • System Accuracy Tests: Perform system accuracy tests on furnaces as per documented schedules.
  • Surface Contamination Tests: Conduct surface contamination tests at predetermined frequencies.
  • Dew Point and Leak Up Rate Measurements: Perform dew point and leak up rate measurements at set frequencies.
  • Job Ticket Data Reviews: Complete daily reviews of job ticket data to ensure all necessary information is recorded.
  • Deviation Dispositions: Assist the Quality Manager with deviation dispositions as needed.
  • Micro Analysis: Perform micro analysis of heat-treated parts according to customer and specification instructions.
  • Continuous Quality Improvement: Promote continuous quality improvement through feedback on product and system failures, and provide leadership in developing permanent solutions.
  • Customer Expectations: Assist in interpreting customer expectations for product, delivery, quality assurance, and customer service.
Requirements:
  • Education: Associate's degree in a related field of study or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Comprehensive knowledge of quality and quality systems, such as ISO 9001, QS 9000, and NADCAP. Ability to establish good rapport with operational personnel and customers. Self-starter with creative problem-solving skills.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer applications.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and internal stakeholders.
