Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Technician to join our team at CPP-Steel Treaters. As a Quality Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our products and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform contract review and receive jobs as they arrive or as PO's are faxed/emailed in.
  • Complete certificates of conformance for jobs as required by customer and ensure that the certificates are delivered to the customer via their preferred method.
  • Perform temperature uniformity surveys on furnaces per the documented schedule.
  • Perform system accuracy tests on furnaces per the documented schedule.
  • Perform surface contamination tests at set frequencies.
  • Perform dew point & leak up rate measurements at set frequencies.
  • Complete job ticket data reviews daily to ensure all necessary data has been recorded on job tickets.
  • Assist Quality Manager with deviation dispositions as needed.
  • Perform micro analysis of heat treated parts per customer/specification instructions.
  • Promote continuous quality improvement through feedback on product and system failures and provide leadership in developing permanent solutions.
  • Assist in interpreting customer expectations for product, delivery, quality assurance and customer service.
Requirements:
  • A comprehensive knowledge of quality and quality systems, such as ISO0, QS0, and NADCAP is necessary.
  • The ability to establish a good rapport with operational personnel and customers is essential.
  • Associates degree in a related field of study or on-the-job training to achieve society certification.
  • A broad understanding of computer capabilities, such as Microsoft Office.
  • The ability to communicate well and focus on issues with unhappy or dissatisfied customers.
  • The ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • The ability to work under pressure, be detail oriented, and prioritize work.
