Job SummaryWe're seeking a skilled and dedicated RN to join our team as a Nights and Weekends Registered Nurse. In this role, you'll provide visits to patients in home care and facility settings, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care. Your expertise will be essential in making nursing assessments, using critical thinking skills to provide evidence-based care, and supervising LPNs, CNAs, and Continuous Care RNs/LPNs.
Responsibilities- Provide visits to patients with emergent, critical needs in a timely manner
- Arrange for, teach, and supervise nursing care of patients in home care and facility settings
- Make nursing assessments and use critical thinking skills to provide care based on evidence-based practice
- Supervise LPNs, CNAs, and Continuous Care RNs/LPNs
- At least one year of staff nurse experience in a comparable setting/unit
- Hospice and/or palliative care experience is strongly preferred
- Minimum degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program
- Licensure from the governing body for practice for the District of Columbia, State of Maryland, and/or the Commonwealth of Virginia, based on the state/jurisdiction of practice
- Healthcare Provider BLS (CPR) certification required to practice in the State of Maryland and the District of Columbia
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Ability to organize and manage projects within defined timeframe and budget
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent organizational skills with ability to delegate and follow up
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and stressful situations with a positive attitude
This position requires working in a fast-paced environment, utilizing tact, patience, and diplomacy. You'll be responsible for facilitating the development of trusting relationships and partnerships with physicians, payers, patients, and co-workers. A positive public image for Chapters Health System is essential, and you'll be expected to communicate respectfully, openly, honestly, and directly.
This role requires consent to drug and/or alcohol testing after a conditional offer of employment is made, as well as ongoing compliance with the Drug-Free Workplace Policy.
