Job Summary

Michigan Farm Bureau is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our team in the Center for Education and Leadership Development. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various projects, including promotion and education, young farmer, and high school and collegiate activities.

Responsibilities

Assist in the development and implementation of promotional materials, including graphics and documents.
Conduct research on agriculture statistics and facts.
Assist in the planning and coordination of events.
Communicate with volunteer members and track publication statistics.
Process orders and billing.
Work with field staff on outreach programs.

Requirements

Strong writing and oral communication skills.
Experience with event planning and coordination.
Organization and ability to multi-task.
Computer skills, including extensive knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Research skills.

Preferred Skills

Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat and InDesign.
Desire to work in agricultural outreach.
Background or career interest in agriculture.

Work Environment

Interns will work in a fast-paced environment with a team of experienced professionals. Both in-office and out-of-office work may be required at the Farm Bureau Center/Warehouse in Lansing, MI.
