Role SummaryThe Chief Marketing Officer is tasked with the formulation and execution of extensive marketing initiatives aimed at enhancing member acquisition, engagement, and retention. This executive leads a dedicated team and cultivates brand recognition through the deployment of impactful marketing campaigns. By utilizing analytical insights, the Chief Marketing Officer collaborates with various departments to elevate the organization's brand presence and achieve critical business objectives strategically. They are responsible for meeting financial targets by setting benchmarks, creating budgets, managing expenditures, and maximizing return on investment. The Chief Marketing Officer shapes the marketing strategy of the organization in accordance with both short-term and long-term strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Budget Management: Develop the annual departmental operating and capital budget in alignment with the strategic goals set by the Board of Directors, integrating marketing strategies. Lead the creation and implementation of the marketing and public relations plan, establishing annual objectives and program goals.
- Advertising Oversight: Manage the creation and production of advertising materials, working closely with the Executive Team and committees to produce printed content such as newsletters, promotions, and brochures. Ensure compliance with advertising regulations while refreshing promotional materials.
- Growth Strategy Development: Contribute to the development of growth strategies for new and existing products and services. Formulate strategies for launching new offerings, conducting market research, and coordinating with various departments.
- Community Engagement: Oversee community outreach programs, including events and public relations efforts. Coordinate the organization’s annual meetings and other sponsored events, ensuring timely responses to donation requests.
- Performance Analysis: Evaluate business metrics at both financial and project levels to ensure objectives are met, implementing corrective actions as necessary. Collaborate with senior leadership to assess financial performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Operational Collaboration: Work with operational leaders to ensure that strategic business plans and branding initiatives are effectively executed across all branches.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related field from an accredited institution, along with a minimum of five years of experience in a significant marketing, public relations, or advertising role.
Skills and CompetenciesInterpersonal Skills: The ability to influence and motivate senior-level professionals is crucial, requiring a high level of trust and cooperation. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
Physical and Mental RequirementsPhysical Demands: Primarily sedentary work with occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs. Must be able to operate standard office equipment and perform computer work for extended periods.
Mental Requirements: Must be capable of working independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities effectively while maintaining composure under pressure.
Work EnvironmentMust be able to perform work in a climate-controlled office environment with moderate noise levels.
