Job Summary

The LPN Rehab Nurse performs direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act, utilizing therapeutic communication in daily practice and maintaining a safe therapeutic environment.

This role requires identifying nursing problems related to individual patient needs, planning individualized patient care while utilizing an interdisciplinary approach, participating in performance improvement activities, and providing care that fosters the goals of the hospital's mission and vision statement.

As a charge nurse, responsibilities include making staff assignments based on patient need, acuity, and staff skill, serving as a clinical resource and role model, and responding to requests for information or follow-up with physician, staff, or patient issues.

Requirements

  • Licensed Practical / Vocational Nurse (LPN / LVN)
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support, or CPR must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

Salary

Estimated salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience and location.
