We are looking for two certified automotive service technicians to provide a comprehensive range of automotive solutions, from standard maintenance to intricate repairs, all executed with precision and dedication. Position Summary:

Autowest of Plainwell is actively seeking a certified Automotive Service Technician to strengthen our service team. In this capacity, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide variety of vehicles. We offer a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine automotive services such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake checks.
  • Identify and resolve complex vehicle issues including engine failures, electrical problems, and transmission repairs.
  • Conduct regular vehicle maintenance tasks such as fluid checks, filter replacements, and belt inspections.
  • Align and repair suspension systems to ensure optimal vehicle functionality.
  • Manage diesel engine repairs and replacements as necessary.
  • Utilize various hand tools and advanced diagnostic equipment to effectively address automotive challenges.
  • Follow manufacturer guidelines and consult service manuals to ensure accurate repairs.
  • Provide customers with detailed estimates and clear explanations of repair processes.
  • Maintain open and professional communication with customers, addressing any inquiries and offering insights into the repair process.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance practices.
  • Expertise in troubleshooting and repairing various vehicle systems, with additional experience in diesel engines being a plus.
  • Proficient in using hand tools and modern diagnostic equipment common in the automotive sector.
  • Able to read and interpret technical schematics and manuals.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to efficiently diagnose and resolve vehicle issues.
  • Meticulous attention to detail to ensure repairs are conducted accurately.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective customer interactions.
