Job Summary

Geisinger Health System is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in the Head and Neck Otolaryngology Clinic. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Job Duties
  • Work directly with Head and Neck cancer providers and team to provide primary clinical support.
  • Assist with multiple clinic procedures, such as biopsies, wide local excisions, and Fine Needle Aspirations.
  • Provide education to patients on Proven Recovery and other relevant topics.
  • Follow up on diagnostic testing to ensure completion, accuracy, and filing in medical records.
  • Promote a clean environment and meet qualifications to provide care for patients in specific age ranges.
  • Obtain and document patient medical history, chief complaint, vital signs, and provide basic medical data base for providers.
  • Assist providers in performance of minor surgical diagnostic procedures and ancillary diagnostic examinations.
  • Collect and prepare laboratory specimens and complete associated paperwork.
  • Execute and document ongoing patient communication, prioritize communication to providers, and respond to patient questions and requests.
  • Administer medications and vaccines under the direction of a provider and per scope of practice.
  • Clean and set up examination and treatment rooms between cases, ensuring required levels of asepsis and availability of appropriate instruments and equipment.

  • Hiring Incentive: This position qualifies for a $5,000 sign-on bonus paid over two years.
  • Hours: 40 hours per week, dayshift.
  • Weekends: None.
  • Major Holidays: None.
  • On-Call: None.
