Key Responsibilities- Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and external customers, meeting their needs, offering options, resolving problems, and following up with customers to ensure full satisfaction.
- Provide information regarding policies and procedures, terms, and programs relating to the service area, ensuring that customers have a clear understanding of their options and responsibilities.
- Identify and prioritize problems and issues related to the service area, performing research, offering solutions, options, and strategies, and referring to appropriate personnel or departments as needed.
- Use information systems to input data, maintain databases, perform research for projects or issues, and generate reports, ensuring that all necessary data is accurate and up-to-date.
- Stay current with all applicable policies and procedures, contracts, and related legal issues, ensuring that the University's standards are met.
- Represent the department to students, parents, faculty, administrators, staff, and other outside customers, making formal presentations as assigned.
- Train, schedule, assign, and prioritize workloads, interpreting operating policies and procedures, and ensuring timely completion of departmental work.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested, including composing memos and letters, compiling statistical reports, and maintaining accurate records.
- Minimum Education: High School or equivalent, with combined experience/education as a substitute for minimum education.
- Minimum Experience: 1 year, with combined education/experience as a substitute for minimum experience.
- Minimum Field of Expertise: Customer Service, with a valid CA driver's license required.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to USC's Unifying Values of integrity, excellence, diversity, equity and inclusion, well-being, open communication, and accountability.
- Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree.
- Preferred Experience: 2 years.
- Preferred Field of Expertise: Student counseling, customer service.
