Job Overview:

As a Senior Specialist in Technology Systems at IBI Group, you will play a pivotal role in the design and implementation of advanced technology solutions. Your expertise will contribute to a variety of projects, ensuring that our systems meet the highest standards of quality and functionality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the Technology Systems Architect to align on project goals;
  • Design comprehensive systems for Integrated Communication and Technology (ICAT), Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Audio Visual (AV), Security (ESS), Access Control, and Structured Cabling;
  • Possess a solid understanding of industry standards related to Division 27 and 28 for ESS, AV, ICT, and ICAT;
  • Create detailed design specifications for innovative technology solutions;
  • Utilize tools such as Visio, Bluebeam, and CAD to produce precise drawings, including systems line diagrams;
  • Partner with our Revit/CAD team to develop accurate floor plans and elevations that detail device placements;
  • Assess and evaluate technology equipment available in the market for its applicability in design solutions;
  • Generate comprehensive written system specifications and functional narratives using Master Format templates;
  • Engage with the design team, including electrical, mechanical, and architectural consultants, to ensure cohesive project execution;
  • Facilitate and lead design meetings with clients and the design team to discuss project progress and requirements;
  • Prepare budgetary estimates for implementation costs to support project planning;
  • Oversee construction administration tasks as necessary, including conducting site reviews and compiling site review reports;
  • Foster business development and maintain strong client relationships to support ongoing projects;
  • Mentor and coordinate with junior team members to enhance team capabilities.
