Concrete Mixer Driver

As a Concrete Mixer Driver for CEMEX, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a ready-mix truck to deliver concrete to various construction sites. This role requires strong driving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Drive a ready-mix truck to and from construction sites, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Check loads to ensure they are being hauled safely and efficiently.
- Estimate the slump of concrete and distinguish between a proper mix and one that is too rocky or too sandy.
- Verify delivery instructions with plant personnel before leaving the plant to ensure accurate delivery to customers.
- Develop strong relationships with customers to maximize opportunities for CEMEX.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the truck and equipment.
- Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on truck equipment and make necessary repairs.
- Assist other company employees as needed and adhere to all CEMEX, D.O.T., and O.S.H.A. rules and regulations.
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL A or B).
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Acceptable CSA and MVR record.
This role requires continuous exposure to extreme heat, cold, noise, and working outdoors. Protective equipment must be worn while at the location. Physical demands include walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing. Heavy work exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and up to 50 pounds of force frequently.
