KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Utilities Supervisor will oversee all on-site construction operations and manage field personnel to ensure timely and budget-conscious project completion. This role demands a commitment to quality, effective supervision of the workforce, and adherence to safety protocols throughout all construction activities.

  • Oversees the installation of underground water and sewer piping for various projects.
  • Achieves labor production targets consistently.
  • Coordinates and directs all construction tasks.
  • Advocates for job site safety, promotes safe working practices, and addresses hazards promptly.
  • Fosters a collaborative team environment through positive leadership.
  • Guides field staff to ensure project completion aligns with timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Communicates effectively in both verbal and written formats.
  • Documents work through time-sheets, work orders, daily logs, and other necessary reports.
  • Calculates and monitors crew productivity rates.
  • Assesses and approves material and equipment requirements.
  • Maintains project schedules and proactively resolves issues.
  • Interprets project plans and specifications accurately.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and team members.
  • Organizes, schedules, and oversees the completion of final inspections.
  • Ensures compliance with the company’s safety policies among all employees and subcontractors.
  • Keeps the job site organized and efficient.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in public works or heavy civil construction, including installation of pipes ranging from 12" to 72" for water, sewer, and storm drainage.
  • Proficient in installing services, fire hydrants, and pipe connections according to standard specifications.
  • Experienced in establishing trench shoring in compliance with OSHA regulations.
  • Ability to read and interpret project plans and specifications.
  • Familiarity with MAG Specifications.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Bilingual candidates (English/Spanish) are preferred.
