Job Summary

The Laurels of Norworth is seeking an experienced Environmental Services Director to oversee the provision of Housekeeping and Laundry Services. As a leader, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and homelike environment for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise Housekeeping and Laundry Associates: Lead a team of housekeeping and laundry staff to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Develop Cleaning Protocols and Schedules: Create and implement cleaning schedules for guest rooms and common areas, as well as special projects and large jobs.
  • Provide Daily Assignments: Assign tasks to housekeeping and laundry staff to ensure efficient and effective cleaning operations.
  • Maintain Linen Inventories: Ensure linen inventories are maintained at optimal levels to meet facility needs.
  • Develop Facility Procedures: Establish procedures to ensure personal laundry is returned without damage from the laundry process to the correct owner.
  • Dispose of Trash and Waste: Ensure the safe and proper disposal of trash and waste, including biohazards.
  • Compliance with Regulations: Ensure cleaning products, equipment, and procedures are in compliance with all applicable regulations.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Experience in Institutional Environment: A minimum of two years of experience in a housekeeping role in an institutional environment, with supervisory or management responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of Regulations: Current knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations that apply to the practice of environmental service in long-term care.
