EMT Apprentice Program Overview

At Smith Ambulance Services, we are committed to providing high-quality training to aspiring EMTs. Our paid EMT Apprentice Program is designed to educate and prepare candidates to successfully complete the National Registry Exam and become licensed EMTs.

**Program Details**

* Duration: 6 weeks
* Class schedule: Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm
* Clinical and ride time hours required
* Paid while in class

**Benefits**

Upon successful completion of the National Registry exam, students can be hired by any of our sister companies, with salary ranges from $34,185 to $49,740 depending on the shift and schedule chosen.

**Requirements**

To be eligible for the program, candidates must:

* Be at least 18 years old
* Hold a valid Ohio Driver's License
* Have a High School diploma or GED

**Admission Process**

* Complete a pre-entrance examination prior to the interview
* Provide Personal Health History, Immunization record, and Physician Physical Exam forms
* Pass a 10 Panel Urine Toxicology Screen with negative results
* Successfully pass a background check
