POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a dedicated healthcare professional to fill the role of a Microvascular Hand Surgery Specialist within a prominent healthcare organization.

This position is situated in a non-profit, community-focused hospital system that integrates a comprehensive healthcare delivery model. The Department is proud to offer a fully accredited ACGME General Surgery Residency Program.

An immediate opportunity is available for a full-time microvascular hand surgeon with a keen interest in academic pursuits and trauma care.

The Department operates a community hospital recognized as a State and American College of Surgeons designated Level 1 Trauma and Burn Center in a metropolitan area.

We are looking for a microvascular hand surgeon who is passionate about resident education and eager to become a vital part of a thriving hand and plastics practice.

The practice emphasizes trauma care and is supported by a dedicated trauma team. Anticipated procedures include tissue microvascular techniques alongside breast and burn surgeries.

The selected surgeon will be appointed to the Department of Surgery, taking on responsibilities that include serving as a faculty member, providing traditional inpatient and outpatient services for elective, urgent, and emergent plastic/hand patients, engaging in teaching, and participating in on-call duties.

The Department also oversees a General Surgery and Surgical Podiatry Residency Program, supervising resident rotations in plastic surgery.

QUALIFICATIONS:
We are in search of a qualified physician who meets the following criteria:

- Must possess a valid MD or DO license.
- Must hold an Arizona Medical License or be eligible to obtain one prior to starting.
- Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible.
- Completion of a plastic surgery residency training program is required.
- Previous faculty experience is preferred.
- Completion of the Certificate in Added Qualifications for Hand Surgery is required or eligible.
- A strong commitment to serving underserved patient populations is essential.
- A desire for academic excellence and a passion for teaching is crucial, as working with residents and engaging in scholarly activities will be expected.

Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are advantageous but not mandatory.
