Perimeter Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled Intake Registered Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our admissions department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth transition of patients into our care.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the intake process, receiving and scheduling referrals, and triaging in-bound calls to ensure timely and efficient patient placement.
- Support leadership in implementing systematic processes to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
- Review assessments and verify insurance information in real-time to facilitate hospital admission placement.
- Collaborate with case managers to arrange patient admissions, including verifying benefits and initiating calls to physicians and other stakeholders.
- Determine necessary releases of information and process them accordingly, adhering to established policies.
- Obtain required records and information to support patient care.
- Arrange for community resources and communicate with treatment coordinators as needed.
- Maintain accurate statistics and provide support for outcome studies and data analysis.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with customers, upholding high standards of customer service.
- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment, with a focus on adult and senior populations.
- Valid RN license in the State of Texas.
- Experience in behavioral health assessment and treatment.
- At least one year of previous experience in an acute behavioral health hospital preferred.
