Position Overview

Edu1st is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Preschool Teacher Assistant to support our vibrant preschool environment. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about early childhood education and eager to contribute to the development of children aged 0 to 5 years.

Key Responsibilities

The Preschool Teacher Assistant will:

  • Collaborate with the Lead Teacher to implement engaging educational activities tailored to the developmental needs of young children.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that promotes learning and exploration.
  • Document and track the developmental progress of children, ensuring effective communication with parents regarding their child's growth.
  • Support classroom management by fostering positive behavior and facilitating a nurturing atmosphere.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and educational strategies.
Qualifications

Ideal candidates will possess:

  • A minimum of one year of experience in early childhood education, with preference given to those with relevant certifications.
  • Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities in Spanish are highly regarded.
  • Completion of 45 hours of Early Learning Coalition training or in progress.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
  • An Associate or Bachelor's degree in Education is preferred, along with a focus on Early Childhood Education.
