Job Description

**Job Summary**

The Euro Foods Inc DBA Citterio USA Lab Technician Assistant plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of our products. This position is responsible for assisting in the preparation of samples for testing, implementing production schedules, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect and prepare samples from various stages of the meat production process for testing.
  • Implement and monitor production schedules to meet customer orders and company objectives.
  • Assist the lab technician and supervisor with routine laboratory tasks, including sample labeling, documentation, and data entry.
  • Ensure all laboratory equipment is properly cleaned, maintained, and calibrated according to standard operating procedures.
  • Follow strict safety and sanitation protocols to prevent contamination and ensure accurate test results.
  • Maintain accurate records of all sample preparations and test results, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels of laboratory supplies and reagents, reporting any shortages to the supervisor.
  • Work closely with production and quality control teams to ensure timely and efficient sample collection and testing.
  • Promote and enforce a culture of safety in the workplace.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, including OSHA and USDA standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to listen effectively, respond appropriately, and maintain mutual comfort level while relating to a diverse workforce.
  • Must have good attendance.
  • Other job duties as necessary.

Requirements

  • Basic understanding of microbiology and food safety principles.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office).
  • Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information which may be proprietary to Euro Foods Inc DBA Citterio USA.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and managers.

Education and Experience

  • Completion of a high school, or general equivalency diploma.
  • Previous experience in a laboratory setting or food production environment is a plus.
