Job Overview
We are looking for a junior Associate Attorney with a keen interest in Commercial and Civil Litigation to become part of our dynamic and high-achieving legal team.
This is a distinctive opportunity to join a well-regarded firm, where you will handle a variety of cases, particularly in commercial litigation, bankruptcy, and franchising.
You will be responsible for managing your own caseload, working autonomously, and collaborating effectively with our team of seasoned attorneys.
As a Permanent Associate Attorney, your duties will include, but are not limited to:- Representing clients in all facets of commercial and civil litigation.
- Providing legal guidance on franchise matters, including drafting agreements, advising on franchise law, and resolving disputes.
- Managing all elements of bankruptcy proceedings, including filing petitions, negotiating with creditors, and representing clients in court.
- Overseeing your own caseload, which includes conducting research, drafting legal documents, and preparing for court hearings and trials.
- Collaborating with a team of attorneys to formulate legal strategies and achieve optimal outcomes for our clients.
- Staying informed about developments in commercial and civil litigation law, bankruptcy law, and franchise law.
- Delivering exceptional client service while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and ethical conduct.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Associate Attorney role should possess the following qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Licensed to practice law in the state of Colorado.
- Preferably at least 1 year of Associate Attorney experience, with a background in franchising and bankruptcy; however, strong clerk experience and academic performance will also be considered.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively.
- Strong research, negotiation, and courtroom advocacy skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and work collaboratively within a team.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the capacity to clearly articulate complex legal concepts.
- High level of professional ethics and integrity.
