Job Opportunity: Defense Litigation Staff Attorney

Direct Counsel has partnered with a leading national law firm to seek an experienced Defense Litigation Staff Attorney. The firm is renowned for its expertise in business transactions and litigation practices.

The successful candidate will work in the Denver, CO location, bringing a minimum of 5 years of litigation experience in the defense of first-party commercial and residential property claims, insurance coverage, and insurance class actions.

As a key member of the team, you will work collaboratively on related cases, with supervision by experienced partners, and be capable of taking a lead role in independently handling court appearances, taking and defending depositions, retaining and working with experts, attending mediations, and related tasks.

You will have the opportunity to utilize junior associates for some case work, such as legal research, where appropriate.

Qualifications:
  • First-party insurance and bad faith experience
  • Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
  • Strong writing and oral advocacy skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to delivering excellent legal work for clients
  • Ability to run with a case with minimal oversight
  • 1800 minimum billable hour requirement
  • Admitted to CO Bar
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Salary: $180,000-$200,000 per year
  • Comprehensive Benefits package
