Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Deburr Operator to join our team at Winpak. As a key member of our manufacturing department, you will be responsible for setting up and operating pneumatic and hand tools to polish metal surfaces on a variety of metal component parts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deburr, polish, assemble, and etch part numbers on machines, as well as perform other various machine operations.
  • Position parts according to knowledge of the unit being assembled.
  • Work from blueprints and use hand grinders and common hand tools to grind and polish parts to meet contour, size, and finish requirements.
  • Keep workstations clean and orderly.
  • Verify starting materials are adequate prior to beginning work.
  • Ensure the quality of the finished product or services.
  • Move incoming/outgoing material within the department.
  • Work overtime as needed.
  • Follow all Company safety rules and safe work practices.
  • Maintain regular attendance and excellent punctuality.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
  • Possess basic machinist tools such as micrometers, scales, wrenches, and indicators.
  • Basic reading, writing, and some advanced arithmetic skills required.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
  • Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
Work Environment

The manufacturing environment is subject to moderate changes in temperature and the employee will be exposed to typical hazards of noise, flying debris, and overhead hazards requiring the use of proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
