Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to provide speech and language services to students with communication disorders in a school setting. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and a strong background in speech-language pathology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations and assessments to identify speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and goals, including Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), tailored to each student's needs.
  • Provide direct therapy in individual and group settings for areas such as articulation, fluency, voice, receptive and expressive language, and social communication.
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and administrators to integrate speech-language therapy into classroom settings and daily activities.
  • Monitor and document student progress, making adjustments to therapy plans as needed to ensure continued improvement.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, offering recommendations for interventions, accommodations, and supports that help students thrive.
  • Train and support teachers and parents on communication strategies to be used in the classroom and at home to reinforce therapy outcomes.
  • Stay current with the latest research, methods, and practices in speech-language pathology.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations, including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Valid Colorado SLP license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Experience working with children in a school setting is preferred.
  • Excellent communication, assessment, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Dedication to supporting students' communication development and academic growth.
