Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Services Specialist to join our team at the Center for Cancer & Blood Disorders in Bethesda, MD. The successful candidate will provide exceptional customer service, manage patient records, and coordinate clinical activities to ensure seamless patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and maintain accurate patient charts within the EMR and billing systems
  • Collect and document patient information, payments, and demographic data
  • Schedule appointments, manage physician requests, and maintain patient schedules
  • Provide excellent customer service, respond to patient inquiries, and resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient care
  • Manage medical records, maintain confidentiality, and adhere to HIPAA regulations
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as data entry, reporting, and faxing
  • Stay up-to-date with changing policies, procedures, and regulations
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred
  • Minimum one year of experience in the healthcare field, preferably in a physician's office
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills required
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Work Environment

This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM, with occasional overtime and weekend shifts as needed. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-site environment and demonstrate a strong commitment to patient care and customer service.
