Christus Health is seeking a skilled Perinatal Nurse Specialist to join our team in the Labor and Delivery Department. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care, utilizing your expertise in maternal-fetal health to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Responsibilities- Provide Patient Care: Utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, and implement individualized care plans for patients in the Labor and Delivery Department.
- Collaborate with Healthcare Team: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
- Manage Patient Flow: Anticipate and plan for admission, discharge, and transfer needs to facilitate efficient patient flow and minimize delays.
- Document Patient Information: Accurately and thoroughly document patient information, including medical history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
- Participate in Quality Improvement: Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and participate in ongoing education and training to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent.
- Experience: 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty, preferably in a Perinatal setting.
- Licenses/Certifications: RN License in the state of employment or compact, BLS certification, and current certification from NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) or AWHONN courses.
7AM - 7PM, Part-time schedule.
