Job Summary:

As a Maintenance Mechanic at CPP-Euclid, you will be responsible for performing highly skilled maintenance tasks on state-of-the-art equipment. Your duties will include troubleshooting and repairing foundry equipment using Standard to Advanced Maintenance skills. Documented electrical experience is desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review preventive maintenance schedule and perform tasks as scheduled
  • Interact with operators to troubleshoot, repair, and test equipment
  • Communicate with team leaders and/or maintenance supervisors on major repair needs discovered
  • Complete work orders, safety checklists, and order lists of equipment and supplies
  • Follow lock-out, tag-out procedures and repair machines as needed
  • Attend annual RCRA training and other training as appropriate
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or management

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Trade school or apprenticeship may be accepted
  • General knowledge of trades with 1-2 years of experience in each
  • Skilled in use of standard mechanical hand tools
  • Good interpersonal skills, follow-up skills, and ability to troubleshoot plant equipment with supervision
  • Ability to operate mobile maintenance equipment, such as forklifts, scissor lifts, and man lifts
  • Self-control, persistence, detail orientation, and good judgment

Working Environment:

The Maintenance Mechanic will work on the shop floor, wearing required PPE, including safety glasses and steel-toe shoes.
