Role Summary:

The Wine Bar Operations Manager oversees the daily functions and staffing requirements of both Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH). This role is pivotal in embodying the brand's service and hospitality ethos, as well as managing the Beverage Program. The Manager is expected to be deeply familiar with the Jet Wine Bar brand and adept at creating memorable experiences for guests.

The staffing at Jet Wine Bar is intentionally dynamic, adapting to seasonal demands. The Manager should be enthusiastic about training staff, understanding seasonal scheduling, and fostering excitement around events and partnerships. Despite fluctuations in staff size, the team remains small and relies on cross-training for optimal performance.

Accountability is a key component of this role, utilized as a developmental tool to meet hospitality and business goals. The Manager will work closely with the HR Director to identify trends in employee conduct and performance, ensuring a strong partnership in managing staff data and implementing effective leadership strategies.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Brand Representation: Serve as the primary ambassador for Jet Wine Bar, demonstrating a thorough understanding of brand values and community initiatives.
  • Dining Experience: Supervise service standards across various dining formats, ensuring a consistent and high-quality experience for guests.
  • Beverage Management: Equip staff with knowledge about the beverage program, ensuring bartenders are well-trained and confident in their roles.
  • Staff Development: Maintain a positive work environment through regular check-ins and recognition of exceptional performance.
  • Administrative Duties: Complete daily reports, manage cash handling, and oversee compliance with health and safety standards.

Qualifications:

A minimum of two years of experience in a managerial role within the hospitality industry is preferred. Candidates should possess strong leadership skills, a comprehensive understanding of restaurant operations, and the ability to manage financial aspects effectively.

The Manager will work closely with the Directors to ensure the establishment operates smoothly and meets the expectations of both staff and guests.
