The Sonographer plays a crucial role in assisting physicians during diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures by preparing patients and operating ultrasound machinery to capture diagnostic images.

Qualifications
- Education: Preferred 2 Year / Associate Degree. Graduate of an ARRT-approved Sonography Program or a CAAHEP-recognized Sonography Program is required.
- Experience: A minimum of one year of experience in vascular sonography is required.
- Licensure/Certification/Registration: Must be certified and registered by ARRT in Vascular Sonography, or by ARDMS in Vascular Technology, or by CCI in Vascular Specialist RT(S)(VS), or RDMS, RT(VS), or RDMS, RVT, VT, or RT(S)(RVS), RDMS, (RVS) is required.
- Additional Skills/Requirements (required):
- Capability to successfully complete both generic and department-specific skills validation and competency assessments.
- Strong communication skills.
- Able to work independently in diagnostic settings.
- Familiarity with various ultrasound equipment.
- Ability to adapt to diverse situations and procedures based on patient age.
- Skill in interpreting information to determine each patient's care requirements relative to their age-specific needs.
- Basic computer proficiency.
