Occupational Therapist Inpatient Rehab Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our Inpatient Rehab team at Methodist Hospital. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care to our patients.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide evaluations and treatment interventions within the scope of practice established by law and professional code of ethics.
- Assess and evaluate therapeutic/rehabilitative/functional status.
- Participate in patient placement and in the development of the total plan of care.
- Provide purposeful and skilled interaction care.
- Use procedures and techniques to produce a change in condition/function consistent with the physician's plan of care.
- Observe and report patient's reaction to treatment and changes in patient's condition.
- Communicate pertinent payor needs/requirements to physician, treatment team, patient and patient's family in a timely manner.
- Prioritize caseload, determine daily staffing needs and coordinate assignments/handoffs.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy
- Occupational Therapy License issued by the Texas State Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners
- Prefer one or more years of experience in Inpatient Rehab Occupational Therapy Setting
