We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapist to join our team at Methodist Hospital Metropolitan. As a Physical Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care to our patients.
Job SummaryThe Physical Therapist will be responsible for managing the complete process of therapeutic care for an assigned group of patients in coordination with the physician and the patient care team. This includes assessing and evaluating therapeutic/rehabilitative/functional status, participating in the development of the total plan of care, and providing purposeful and skilled therapeutic care.
Responsibilities- Provide evaluations and treatment interventions within the scope of practice established by law and professional code of ethics.
- Assess and evaluate therapeutic/rehabilitative/functional status and participate in the development of the total plan of care.
- Provide purposeful and skilled therapeutic care at patient's home, using procedures and techniques to produce a change in condition/function consistent with the physician's plan of care.
- Instruct patient/family/caregiver in the use of therapies, exercises, therapeutic appliances, and/or prosthetic devices to be used outside of therapy sessions.
- Prioritize caseload, determine daily staffing needs and coordinate assignments/handoffs.
- Bachelors of Science, or higher degree from a university in Physical Therapy.
- Prefer one or more years of experience in an Inpatient Rehab or Acute Physical Therapy Setting.
- Physical Therapy License issued by The Executive Council of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy (ECPTOTE) Texas State Board.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support.
