We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Database Administrator to join our team at TNS Limited. As a key member of our database administration team, you will be responsible for the support, maintenance, and development of our databases, which are critical to our business operations.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in multiple database technologies, including Oracle, MongoDB, MariaDB, and MS SQL Server. You should also have strong communication skills, be able to work well in a collaborative environment, and have a self-motivated approach to problem-solving.

The salary for this role is estimated to be between $101,000 and $124,000 annually, depending on your skills and experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical and dental coverage, life insurance, paid holidays and vacations, and a 401K plan with company match.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing day-to-day support for our databases, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues;
  • Implementing and supporting administrative tasks, such as backup and recovery procedures, database utilities, and data replication technologies;
  • Managing organizational data definitions and process-flows to ensure consistency, security, and accuracy of transactional data;
  • Providing technical services to monitor and maintain our environments, including periodic software upgrades, vulnerability patching, and migration of the databases;
  • Documenting operational or newly engineered solutions to educate and inform the IT Support staff;
  • Creating and maintaining Linux and SQL scripts to automate scheduled tasks and monitor database alerts;
  • Logging, scheduling, and tracking all changes using change management system tools;
  • Providing 24x7 on-call support in rotation for production databases.

Candidates must possess:

  • A minimum of 6 years of advanced database administration experience with large-scale Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server in multi-node clustered environments, including replication and security;
  • Working experience in database administration, including development experience with MongoDB and MariaDB;
  • Working experience in database administration and data migration in cloud and AWS technologies, with development experience preferred;
  • Strong knowledge of SQL Maintenance, Back-up, SQL Stored Procedures, High-Availability, Performance Tuning, and Future Architecture Design and Expansion;
  • Experience with Database Warehousing, Decision Support, and OLTP;
  • Strong working experience reviewing, writing, and debugging complex SQL stored procedures, functions, and triggers etc.;
  • Experience with advanced SQL Server network connectivity and protocols;
  • Strong working experience using various database Tools and SQL Performance Analyzer etc.;
  • Highly motivated with a commitment to quality service;
  • Strong knowledge of managing projects and excellent communication skills required;
  • Must be a self-starter, able to prioritize and work well under pressure.
