Network Manager, Delivery

What success looks like in this role:
- Manages the delivery of contracted services to clients to ensure time, quality and cost of delivery.
- Maintains tight control over the project schedule, risks, scope of work and budget.
- Ensures that operational teams and subcontractors have a clear understanding of client requirements.
- Builds and maintains strong client relationships and provides day-to-day client advice and support.
- Promotes the organization's capabilities to clients, identifies new sales opportunities to be forwarded to the account managers, and achieves contract extensions or additional business within the accounts(s).
- Contracts may involve both short- and long-term commitment of service and vary significantly in value/strategic importance.
The Cloud, Applications, and Infrastructure (CA&I) business unit within Unisys provides consulting, managed services, and project delivery services for our global customers.
The Sr. Manager, Delivery, Network group will be an integral part of the Hybrid Infrastructure Services (HIS) delivery organization responsible for leading a team of 40, or less, associates and managing one, or more, accounts. You will be responsible for providing day to day leadership, control over project schedule and risks, scope of work, and mentorship to your team(s)
You will be part of a high-performance organization of client delivery professionals that collaborate across different capability teams to drive growth-oriented results. You will instill an automation-first, next generation growth mindset in transforming the global network team.
As the Network Manager, you will be responsible for reviewing, proposing, designing, hybrid and Multicloud network solutions to meet existing, and proposed technological and business outcomes of your client. As a technical leader in Unisys, you play a critical role in making sure that network strategy, defining architectural standards, and best practices are being deployed across your customer’s project. You will utilize standardized tools and technologies for network solutions and overall organizational change management and transformation. You’ll continually be learning about new technologies and looking to the future for why, and how your clients or prospects should be adopting them for value realization.
You will be successful in this role if you have:

- To help build and improve capabilities for network infrastructure services and promote them to other teams and clients.
- Understand client business goals and outcomes and drive team’s performance to support them.
- Manages all financials and operational metrics for the services provided by your team.
- Works with leadership to ensure that the strategy is consistent with Unisys strategy.
- Achieves profitable margin growth through the successful implementation of the business strategy.
- Provides delivery of services consistent with Unisys strategy.
- Provides leadership and creativity in the design and implementation of client engagements.
- Manages the team’s delivery and implementation of the services through the full engagement lifecycle.
- Consistently achieves or exceeds engagement margin, service level objectives and quality targets.
- Effectively manages engagement risks, identifying and promptly notifying senior management of the potential impact of such risks and alternative approaches to mitigating them.
- Builds 'client for life' relationships by successfully leveraging Unisys entire portfolio to deliver breakthrough results for his/her clients.
- Becomes a trusted advisor to clients by building solid professional relationships with members of senior level management.
- Manages a team of people within a service line, including their training, development, performance, and career path.
- Advocates and models a strong focus on performance management, development, career growth, engagement, and diversity within the practice.
- Attracts and appropriately motivates professionals to build a team leveraged to achieve or exceed growth, productivity, and profitability targets.
- Provides appropriate mentoring, feedback, training and development opportunities to help individuals within the team reach their full potential.
- Functions as an expert in one or more domains. Demonstrates marketable expertise in at least two market segments and/or functional/technical areas of specialization.
- Has used knowledge to build own image and reputation. Stays current with information management / technology / IT Infrastructure industry, competitor and vendor strategies, technologies and offerings. Conveys a leadership presence, a high level of professionalism and a focused commitment to excellence.
- Forecasts, plans, implements and reviews financial and people resources in order to meet defined business requirements in line with company strategic plans, targets and objectives. Defines intermediate goals and contingencies.
- Communicates in an open, candid, clear, complete and consistent manner. Listens well and gives full attention when others are speaking. Demonstrates maturity, self-confidence and self-control in formal and informal interactions.
- Maintains absolute integrity while balancing the potentially conflicting objectives of exceeding client expectations for quality and value, appropriately developing professionals within his/her team, and achieving Unisys financial objectives
- Utilizes a collaborative working style that stresses teamwork and places the best interests of Unisys over individual and team objectives.
- Bachelor’s degree in relative area of study, master’s degree preferred, or equivalent work experience and certifications
- 10+ years total combined experience, with at least 4 years leading a high performance technical network delivery team in a global IT consulting environment highly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in designing, building, and managing Network services for hybrid and multicloud environments for large enterprises
- Experience with building hybrid SD-WAN services, network transformation, network modernization services
- Experience in designing and implementing networking for major cloud service providers such as AWS, Azure, and GCP
- Subject Matter Expert in software defined infrastructure, infrastructure as code, automation, and technology optimization to include hybrid and Multicloud migration strategy, planning, and implementation.
- Must possess the ability to effectively communicate direction, commit people to action, and convey complex information in easily understood formats.
- The role requires an individual that is highly collaborative with strong influencing skills, ambitious, creative, highly resourceful, self-driven and results oriented. extensive experience in infrastructure strategy, public and private cloud, server, storage, and operations.
- Recruit, develop, inspire, and retain a high-performing Network Infrastructure and Architecture professionals.
- The ideal candidate should enjoy working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, utilize sound business judgement, and employ problem-solving expertise. This technology leader must collaborate and influence outcomes across a complex, diverse, and fast-paced organization.
- Operate independently and autonomously in absence of strict guidance.
- Strong understanding of networking, security, and infrastructure components.
- Demonstrated experience of networking technologies and cloud networking
- Demonstrates strong knowledge across a wide range of services and solutions.
- Recognized thought leadership both internally and externally.
- Experience in implementing automation to drive operational efficiencies in network operations.
- Certifications – CCNA, CompTIA Network+, Citrix, Juniper Networks, ITIL, PMP, SAFe Agile
- Cloud Certifications – AWS Solutions Architect – Professional, AWS Network Specialty, Azure Architect, GCP Cloud Architect
