Visiting Professor: HIST History of Global Economic Inequality

The History Department at Barnard College is seeking a part-time instructor to teach HIST BC2985 History of Global Economic Inequality during the Spring 2025 term.
Course Overview:
This course will provide students with a critical understanding of the main interpretations of economic inequality from the eighteenth century to the present. Students will analyze the works of prominent authors who have addressed the question of inequality and distribution, and explore how the concept of inequality has changed historically.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching the course, developing a syllabus, and providing regular feedback to students. The Chair or Director will determine the exact instructional assignments and other academic responsibilities.
Requirements:
