Orchestral String Instrument Repair Specialist

White House of Music Inc is seeking a skilled Orchestral String Instrument Repair Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our repair team, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing violin family instruments, rehairing and repairing bows, and ensuring the optimal playability and appearance of orchestral string instruments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair violin family instruments
- Rehair and repair bows
- Clean and adjust orchestral string instruments
- Communicate with sales staff and customers
- Maintain tools and equipment
- Use a computer to record and print completed repair estimates and records
- Order equipment and supplies
Requirements:
- Certification in musical instrument repair
- Knowledge of structural repair and instrument setup
- Bow rehair and repair experience
- Fingerboard dressing
- Familiarity with various glues and their uses
- Finish repair and touchup
- Skill in using tools and equipment
- Follow common shop safety practices
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Basic computer skills
