Your Role: Automotive Parts Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and assess incoming vehicles for processing.
  • Safely extract hazardous components from vehicles to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Drain all fluids and properly store them in designated containers.
  • Remove batteries, mercury switches, and refrigerants, adhering to environmental regulations.
  • Loosen lug nuts for tire removal, identifying high-quality tires and wheels for resale.
  • Clear all non-sellable items and waste from vehicles.
  • Sort recyclable materials from waste materials effectively.
  • Label vehicles accurately following established protocols after fluid and part removal.
  • Prepare and maintain yard organization for optimal vehicle placement.
  • Utilize forklifts to ensure safe vehicle access for customers.
  • Extract specified auto parts, cores, metals, and materials from vehicles.
  • Maintain tools and equipment, reporting any missing or damaged items to management.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in using auto dismantling tools and equipment, including hand tools and pneumatic devices.
  • Capable of lifting items such as tires and batteries weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Dependable transportation and a commitment to punctuality and consistent attendance.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Prior experience in automotive production, dismantling, or auto yard operations is advantageous but not required.
  • Experience operating a forklift is beneficial but not essential.

Compensation:

Starting pay is $16.50 per hour, with opportunities for overtime and significant potential for salary increases.
