Outpatient Care Coordinator

About the Position: As a Clinical Support Specialist at Dartmouth Health, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting our medical teams. With a focus on clinical support and coordination, this position requires a unique blend of technical skills, interpersonal abilities, and adaptability.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Welcome and register patients, verify demographic information, and obtain signatures for consent and HIPAA compliance.
- Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including demographics, medical history, and test results.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to coordinate patient care, schedule appointments, and communicate test results.
- Process and reconcile patient payments, manage accounts receivable, and provide financial counseling as needed.
- Conduct clerical tasks such as filing, photocopying, and data entry to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contribute to performance metrics, and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.
Education and Qualifications: A Medical Assistant diploma or certification from a recognized organization is required. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in an office or outpatient setting, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation: We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications. Additionally, we provide comprehensive benefits, including health, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
